Disasters films have been around ever since films began.  Whether it is earthquakes, burning buildings, or upside down ships, many have been huge moneymakers.  Many are forgotten and considered b-movie silliness, but a few, even with their stunt casting, are beloved classics.  Every so often another appears that receives both critical praise and audience love such a the 2020 film GREENLAND.

When Clarke, a recently discovered comet, is to head to earth and burn up in its atmosphere, John Garrity (Gerald Butler), his estranged wife (Morena Baccarin), and their son throw a “watch party” at their home with neighbors.  But when an unexpected phenomenon occurs, they have to flee for their lives where their only chance of survival may be in a faraway place in another country.

One of the Hollywood blockbusters that had a limited release at theaters due to the COVID shutdown, the movie hit VOD and did well enough.  It’s critical response and impressive marketing campaign gave it a bit of buzz.  Your co-hosts take a look at this interesting film and gives their thoughts.
