Evil ends tonight! That was the catch phrase of the second film in the David Gordon Green trilogy for the latest reboot of the Halloween film franchise. This trilogy takes up with understanding only the original 1978 film would be used in continuity. With the latest, HALLOWEEN ENDS (2022), the series begins its wrap up. Is it really the end? Whether it is or not, this is the film that is the finale of the last films.
A few years after the Michael Myers’ rampage of 2018, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her granddaughter Allyson Nelson (Andi Matichak) have settled down into as normal a suburban life they can. When loner, Corey (Rohan Campbell), and Allyson find each other and begin to date, will the terror of Michael Myers once again return this coming Halloween night?
Directed by David Gordon Green, the movie was co-written by him along with Paul Brad Logan, Chris Bernier, and Danny McBride. The film brings back Kyle Richards, Will Patton, and even Nick Castle (the original Michael Myers) makes a cameo. Unfortunately for many, the critical response was not as highly anticipated as folks had hoped. Dark Discussions Podcast takes a look at the movie and sees if concerns were warranted.
