Everyone in the states know about garden trolls. With the United States large concentration of folks with Northern European ancestry, some of that culture still remains even if just to be quaint. Director André Øvredal, a Norwegian director, surprised folks with his international horror hit Troll Hunter about the fact that trolls most certainly did exist. Now in 2016, after it the film played many festivals, his follow up film, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, arrived in mid-December of 2016 and wowed almost everyone.

When the local sheriff finds the half buried body of a young woman in the basement of a scene of what appears to be a murder-suicide, he takes the girl’s corpse to the local coroner for an immediate autopsy. Things just don’t appear right to him. Soon the coroner and his son as his assistant begin to discover things about the woman that simply don’t make any sense. As the hours pass, strange things begin to happen that make them decide their safety is in jeopardy.
