Dark Discussions was able to once again attend the horror convention/conference, Anthocon. Guests included famous horror authors Rick Hautula and Gary Braunbeck but also dozens of other published speculative fiction horror writers. This year, horror films playing the convention circuit were shown plus art work of fantasy artists and a demonstration of a new role playing game.

Cohost Philip was able to interview a number of fantastic talents including authors Jon Michael KelleyGregory NorrisMichael BaileyT.G. ArsenaultJo Lynne ValerieB.E. ScullyMarianne Halbert, and David Bernstein. The creators of the role playing game, Hyperborea, gave us some time, and artist Ogmios discusses his fantasy and science fiction horror art and the upcoming graphic novel Summerlands.

For anyone who enjoys genre fiction, Anthocon is one worthy convention to attend. Located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and during the weekend of Veteran’s Day, the second annual presentation was a roaring success. Keep the dates of November 8th through November 12th, 2013 open when the horrific minds of some of the best speculative fiction out there return to the little New England coastal town.
